Where should my we go for our anniversary inside the U.S?
We went to Seattle for our honeymoon and Savannah for our first anniversary, but we cannot find somewhere to go for our second! Our anniversary is Oct 16-24 2010. We are on a budget. We like to drive and we live in Lexington, KY. If a flight is cheap, we are more than willing to fly. Something relaxing, but with enough stuff to do to keep us busy for a week. Any ideas are GREATLY appreciated!! Thanks!

Rather than go somewhere for a week, why not just make a long, special weekend of it. That would help save some money. I'd recommend NYC. There is plenty to do there and it's spectacular if you've never been there before.

There are two beautiful lakes in northern Idaho, Lake Coeur D'Alene at Coeur D'Alene, ID and Lake Pend Oreille at Sandpoint, ID. These are gorgeous pristine lakes in the forested hills of the Idaho panhandle. There are many campgrounds around both lakes. There is also great skiing in Sandpoint at Schweitzer Basin if you choose to visit Sandpoint in the winter. See pictures of Sandpoint below at the attached website.
